
Jason M. Sherman is principal at Whyze Group, a customer experience research and innovation firm serving Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. Jason has 20 years of experience using customer insight to synchronize the values and actions of companies with those of their customers.
Jason’s areas of expertise are qualitative marketing research, executive workshop facilitation, strategic planning, innovation processes and customer experience design.
He consults on initiatives related to new product, brand and advertising development, sales effectiveness, customer experience, satisfaction and retention, user experience, website design, social media, employee engagement and productivity and supply chain management.
Jason’s rarefied brand of marketing wisdom is in high demand among leading companies. He has consulted to Ciba Vision, Delta Dental, Akzo Nobel, Finish Line, GE Lighting, Intel, SunTrust Bank, Rubbermaid, Zales, Nationwide Insurance, Grainger, ING, Humana, Dominion Power, American Century, Entergy, JM Family Enterprises, Key Bank, Wayne Farms, Securities America and a dozen advertising and strategy consultancies.
Most recently, he worked with executives at Rubbermaid to consolidate insights from two prior years’ studies, fill critical knowledge gaps and identify an optimal set of new product features. The company projects a $14 million annual increase in category sales resulting from this initiative.
Prior to creating Whyze Group, Jason was a Principal Consultant at eLoyalty, a CRM firm, where he developed new research methods and led CRM strategy engagements. As Director of Marketing Research at HomeBanc, Jason led the development of sales force intelligence that contributed to HomeBanc increasing its annual mortgage originations by $3.5 billion within three years. Jason was also a manager at two research firms, Elrick & Lavidge, and Brittain Associates. He consulted on a variety of initiatives related to brand positioning, new product development, pricing and customer retention for business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies.
In addition to consulting, Jason delivers workshops at numerous companies and industry conferences. His articles have appeared in various business publications and have been cited by the U.S. Department of Commerce Baldrige National Quality Program. Jason is editor of the online journal, Innovation Management.
Jason holds a MBA from Hofstra University and B.S. from the State University of New York. He lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
